DAY ONE ABSTRACTS

Live Sound and Action Painting Performance "Peace Day"

"(...) if you want to protect peace, protect creation" Pope Benedict XVI

The International Day of Peace is celebrated on September 21. The United Nations General Assembly recommended that all countries observe this day as a day of universal reconciliation and cessation of hostilities.

As this date approaches, the live sound and action painting performance "Peace Day" (artistic-social project) reminds us that all wars increase disability and draws attention to one of the most vulnerable social groups - the disabled.

It is a joint creative result of professional artists, academic youth and disabled actors, and the performance features the texts of disabled Lithuanian and Ukrainian poets - a call for peace in the world and within us.
