| Abstract: | The development of musical activities and ways to use them as therapy in children's homes in international humanitarian aid is increasing. Lack of literature about this subject urges for a need for more reasearch like this: Two ways are found to work with this population: first an observation report (including musical report) about social and emotional development of every individual child has to be made. Second: practice of skills during musical activities: concentration, dealing with frustration, expression, taking initiative and adapting to others. To musically improvise, play solo, to follow music and direct, compete, dance, listen, or fantasize offer a possibility to practice these skills. In the booklet attached to this research you will find a description of all the music activities and a short explanation of the different elements and connected therapy aims. |
