| Abstract: | The thesis describes the concept of art and fine arts therapy and the application of a model of art therapy in an informal educational programme Project Learning for Young Adults (PUM). The programme aims to motivate young drops-out from formal education to complete their studies by encouraging their creativity, improving their concentration and social skills helping them to form realistic life and vocational plans. The developmental characteristics and life circumstances of the young people are presented, followed by the key elements of art and fine arts therapy with emphasis on the psycho-dynamic model, group art work and group dynamics. The thesis presents the findings based on the implementation of the art therapy with participants of PUM. There are no existing publications from this field of work in Slovenia and only a few outside Slovene borders. |
