| Abstract: |
This research about music therapy starts with a description of the burnout syndrome, facts and figures of burnout in the Netherlands, causes and risk factors, diagnostics, and the main perspectives of the regular (mainly cognitive therapy) treatment. This overview is based on an extensive literature research on treatment of burnout. This research further concludes that music therapy can be considered as a valuable additive therapy to the regular treatment programmes, because of it’s specific values. The way in which that can be realised is described in a music therapy treatment programme, which shows the therapeutically attitude, phases of the programme, build up of the sessions, therapy targets and the music therapeutically interventions, theories and working forms per phase. |
