| Abstract: | "Crazy but Accepted" is a literature and development thesis. In the first place it is a thesis about Developmental Transformations for the homeless, mentally ill and psychotic client. In de the second place it describes what the training entails for drama therapy students and professional drama therapists. Developmental Transformations offers a lot of freedom, which is a reason for many drama therapists not to use this method on psychotic clients. Those therapists are afraid that clients might lose their sense of reality. The sessions held at the internship "The Other Place" and our experience and training in Developmental Transformations at the "Institute of Arts in Psychotherapy" in New York support the outcome of our literature and development thesis. In addition to the results, conclusions and basic concepts of the method, the entire product - i.e. the training including instructions - is described. Those who want to know more about Developmental Transformation will also find an extensive description of its basic concepts in this thesis. |
