| Abstract: | This study deals with the question which tasks are suitable to work on the issue of ‘self-concept’ in art therapy with adults suffering from anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders. The objective was to find tasks that help clients to become more conscious of their often severely negative self-concept. A number of tasks already used in practice by art therapists were collected. A list of criteria was set up to help decide whether a task is suitable for this client group. Two tasks where tested and evaluated in clinical practice. Both turned out to be principally suitable. Their different characteristics are described. |
